The growing complexity of the international system, caused by the increasing interdependence between economic and political factors, forces decision-makers to make decisions in conditions of uncertainty which can have negative effects on the policies that are to be adopted. This situation has rendered both indispensable and urgent the use of forecasting analyses that are capable of minimizing these effects.

The goal of ISPRI is to provide country based risk analyses that will enable decision-makers to gain control over the effects that political decisions have and that will indicate market tendencies and opportunities.

The purpose of the analyses conducted by the Institute is to highlight the importance that political structures and processes have on social and economic decisions, creating the conditions wherein decision-makers are able to make and follow long term strategies. ISPRI has in fact focused its energies on realizing feasibility studies that apply methodologies aimed at optimizing complex decision making processes and at producing political risk scenarios.
